![]() It was a Duke game, but tact on were some stupid parts (everything involving the RC was stupid as hell) and the limited weapon slots was awful. There were some very clear poor choices made. If Doom 2016 hadn't come out, this would have been top.ĭuke Nukem Forever. ![]() Going from what it was to what it is now is amazing. I love the story and the combat is solid. Wolfenstein (2014+) have been a really interesting take. The maps feel way more organic then most games that a level is basically a strait corridor (if you actually look at starting point, objectives, end point). And with the traditional level design of having secrets in every level was really nice to see. But in terms of which which classic game would I play if you put them all in front of me, this would be picked last.ĭoom is amazing. Wolfenstein (the old classic) wasn't bad. A fun shooter but I'd always tire of it easily. Not that was a bad thing, just the small tid bits that Duke had for story really helped (kind of like what Doom 2016 does with having some story but not really a whole lot forced). When I first started playing Doom I had no idea who I was or why I was doing anything. It also helped that Duke had a better story than Doom. ![]() Both Duke and Doom had really good map design though but Duke for me pulls a head. For me Duke had more variety in enemies and level design. ![]()
